The church season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, where we remember that death is a part of life. Living in the midst of a pandemic, over 900,000 Americans have died from Covid and nearly 6 million worldwide. These are staggering numbers. Because of Easter, we know death doesn’t have the last word, but we still feel the sting of death together as we start the Easter season together at Ash Wednesday.
