Every year the Downtown Bellingham Partnership puts on a Downtown Trick or Treat event where businesses hand out candy in the afternoon and families walk around downtown in costume. Spring Church is excited to partner with First Baptist and 2 other church congregations to help participate in this festive and playful event at the church! A message from Bethany Flint, community event organizer:
Downtown Trick-or-Treat is a great way for us to participate in the festive atmosphere already happening in downtown Bellingham and share the love of Christ with attending families. Giving out candy is nice, but let's kick it up a notch and bring Candyland to life! Kids hop through the colored squares, pick up themed candy at 4 stations, and end their game at the photo backdrop. All the while, volunteers engage families in conversation, share God's love with them, invite them back, and make them feel welcome in the space.
It would be great to have a greeter from each church if possible (First Baptist, Crossroads International Fellowship, Reconciliation Anglican Church, and Spring Church).
If you're coming during the Trick-Or-Treat (as opposed to setup before or cleanup after) to run a station or be a greeter, please come at 2:30 if possible for a brief training.
